Welcome to the North Coast Minor Baseball Association. We're dedicated to providing boys and girls a great baseball experience in Port Edward and Prince Rupert.
In our second season, we are expanding our program offering to boys and girls from the ages of 4 to 11, beginning with a training game known as “Blastball” for the youngest ages, and graduating to “T-Ball” and onto Baseball with pitching and catching. The focus on younger age groups will allow us to establish the league in a manageable way, and provide us the ability to develop foundational baseball-specific skills in a suitable age level. Looking into the future, NCMBA intends to grow with its age groups, adding older age divisions as the players mature.
McKeown Park in the District of Port Edward is again our home field--the best field on the North Coast!! We are planning to run a 10-week season to run from late April to the end of June, and we're going to do our best to choose practice and game times (i.e. Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays) to avoid conflicts with other popular sport schedules such as Prince Rupert Minor Soccer.
As some of you may know, there's also a a softball league in Prince Rupert, focussing on ages 9 and up. There is a difference between baseball and softball, so this offers a great choice not only in terms of an initial offering for kids of older ages, but it gives our kids options as to the style of game they want to play.
